Izzy (she/her) is a Queer and Welsh speaking  Director, Applied Theatre Practitioner and Music Maker from Machynlleth in Mid-Wales. As a Director she worked with The Royal Court, National Theatre Wales, Theatr Clwyd, Sherman Theatre, Chapter Arts Centre, The Rosemary Branch and The Other Room Theatre.

In 2013 Izzy co-founded her contemporary theatre company Run Amok, and in 2016 her festival-going applied theatre company Dan Yr Haul/Under the Sun.

Izzy has worked as an Applied Theatre practitioner in a wide range of contexts across South Wales and internationally (in the USA, India and Kenya) with young people in the care system, autism units, pupil referral units, schools for neurodivergent youth and adolescent psychiatric units.

Izzy has been gigging as a singer and Welsh language rapper since she was in her teens and been in a variety of different bands ranging in genre from hip hop, electronic, jazz to punk. Izzy has two self-produced original jazz EP’s available here:

Izzy’s two current music projects are alt-folk punk band The Mermerings and a bilingual neo soul and hip hop project with EADYTH.
